Our Story
Ready SF was founded on a simple belief: safety education should be engaging, practical, and empowering.
After years working in outdoor adventure and experiential education, David Yacubian saw firsthand how strong risk management and medical training directly impact confidence, leadership, and outcomes in the field.
In many settings, first aid and CPR trainings were delivered in ways that felt transactional — focused on checking boxes rather than building competence. Participants often left certified, but not confident.
At the same time, there was a growing need in the greater Bay Area for high-quality wilderness medicine education rooted in real field experience. Having taught extensively with NOLS Wilderness Medicine for years, David saw an opportunity to bring that level of instruction and rigor to more communities locally.
Ready SF was created to raise the standard of safety education.
